Industry 4.0 – Digital enterprise

The digital transformation of manufacturing - when plants, products and machines become more and more interconnected in an integrated value chain that is based on and connected to the Internet – forms part of the 4th industrial revolution (Industry 4.0). This transformation will bring about many opportunities for enterprises and their customers. The first group can benefit from digital technology by increased productivity, flexibility, efficiency and shorter time to market, thereby increase their competitiveness, while the latter will benefit from more individualized, high-quality products that are customized to meet their specific needs.
